"After being a loyal customer for 8 years my thermostat pad went blank in June. I called to see if you could put a new one on and was told the price would be over $800. Two days earlier ComEd included in by bill an offer for a Honeywell digital thermostat for $99. While I'm sure yours is better the $700 price difference was too much. I paid a company $99 to install. Everything worked great until you came in for my yearly furnace servicing an I was told the furnace had not been connected. I was told by Zach that he could connect it but it would be $66. The next thing I know Zach is on the phone with your office and a little while later he is replacing my Humidistat and he's telling me the $66 charge is now $170 and the Humidistat wouldn't work with the replacement thermostat and the total charges would be $458. I hope the killing you made on this sale was worth losing a customer for life."

Service adviser took my information and said someone will get back to me within the hour. 2 hours later no call I called again and someone apologized and said they would check on the delay. Finally, over 5 hours later the salesman, Hector, called and asked if he could help. I explained this was the second time in a row where I had scheduling problems. Last time we waited for a part, had a scheduled service appointment and as it turned out the part was never ordered. Talked to the general manager, Chris, and he was able to rush the part a few days later. After waiting for a return call for over 5 hours I called 4 other HVAC companies, spoke to a sales person at each company and was given a price. I finally contacted on of the companies and scheduled a new hot water heater installation which as it turned out was over $300 less for the same White model price of Golden Seal."

"Every year they forget to bring the special filter for the HVAC system sold to me by Golden Seal. The same thing happened this year. To remedy this and avoid second trips in the future, I ordered two filters on June 17th so I will have a spare in my possession for the next time they forget to bring one. I was called a couple days later and told that the filters were in. They wanted to come that week but I was not going to be back for a couple months. We scheduled for the first week of August. During the time window scheduled, I received a call that there were no special filters in stock. In other words, somebody stole the $290 worth of filters I paid for in June and were on hold until my appointment in August."

Robert who came to service my air conditioner today was very knowledgeable and trustworthy and courteous. He reminded me of Roger who I requested for my services years ago. I will continue to request Roger!! Unfortunately, I cannot say the same of the sales representatives who sold me the 2 sets of air conditioners and furnaces. They were rude and hard selling and dismissive of questions to be answered. I only stay with Golden Seal because of their wonderful technicians. I have not found a bad one in the lot."

Andy, the tech, was super, but because of an office person not doing their job even though I told them three times to make sure the tech brought the electrostatic filter, it was not brought and another appointment has to be scheduled. This requires special effort on my part and totally uncalled for."

Nobody did... I followed up again and was ensured someone would call and come out. Finally got an email with window during the evening. Cesar did show up and was phenomenal --- just like previous times he has been to the house. We are a long time contract maintenance customer - 15+ years and recently let it lapse as we are selling the house. We bought a new furnace and AC through you guys. Post house inspection we needed service on one AC units. Trust me - the difference in responsiveness from having a contract to not having one is HUGE and extremely disappointing."

"Comfort Masters/Golden Seal installed my unit nine years ago from a promotion via Costco. You have done my maintenance since then. I pay monthly for your tuneup service plan. I've always been satisfied with your tune up service until I was in a bind this week. I reported my unit was blowing hot air and the outside unit was not kicking on or would kick on and off in quick succession. A tech came the following day and when he turned it on, the unit kicked on and started cooling. He checked it out, changed the batteries in my thermostat and declared it "inconclusive." He could not explain the underlying issue of why the unit was blowing hot air. I paid $84 Later in the day, the same issue occurred and when I called SExperts back to get a tech back out, I was told that a tech would not be able to come back out for 11 days- June 7. I was dumbfounded. What kind of customer service is that for a long standing customer? I understand this is a busy time but I'd already just paid for service and the tech did not fix the issue. The woman I spoke with on the phone was adamant that they refused to schedule anymore emergency visits and I had to wait til June 7. I was able to get another service man out to my house yesterday evening who confirmed that my unit had leaked freeon and there was not enough pressure in the outdoor unit to keep it running which is why it kept shutting off. I find it alarming that your tech was unable to determine that my unit was so low on freeon. So now I paid SExperts $84, they didn't fix the issue and I had to pay another service person to come back. I will be cancelling my June 7 appointment, cancelling my tune up service plan, asking for a refund of my $84, and posting a Yelp review about what awful customer service your team provided. As I mentioned, I understand that this is a busy time of year but if I paid for a visit, the tech didn't fix the issue, and the issue came up again later the same day, it's astounding to me that you wouldn't send a tech back out sooner than 11 days. I honestly don't have much faith that a tech would've been able to diagnose the problem since he didn't even notice that there was very little freeon in my system. This was a very disappointing experience from a company I had previously trusted."

So we have no heat in the coldest part of winter and now there are cockroaches. We had to spend more money just to get rid of them. The rep said not to worry and admitted it was a mistake on her part. Another month later, I get a Final Notice for collections. This is the most irresponsible, poorly managed, poorly skilled, dirty HVAC company I've ever encountered."
